My name is Jildau Dikkers and I am 21 years old. I live in the Frisian water sports village of Woudsend. Since my youth I have always been on the water. At a young age I started taking sailing lessons at the water sports club in Woudsend. As I got older, I started giving sailing lessons with my parents' Polyvalk. I also give private sailing lessons in various boats, because I really enjoy this.
But who am I really?
After I completed my education at the CIOS, specializing in water sports, I decided to go to the ALO (Academy for Physical Education) in Groningen. This course is completely focused on teaching. In the summer I spend a lot of time on the water, while in the winter I thoroughly enjoy skiing. During holidays I give ski lessons to people of different nationalities, from South Africa to Ireland. To further develop myself, I obtained my Landes 1 certificate this year. Last summer I was a captain in Ibiza with the Wajer company. For this I obtained my boating license 1 and 2 and my VHF radio license. I also gave sailing lessons on various boats.
